Volunteer Experience: Be a Good Neighbor Event

I participated as a volunteer at IU Indianapolis' Be a Good Neighbor Event, that strives to improve ties within the community and support locals. As a volunteer, I participated in helping clean up the community while with my group going door-to-door informing residents of naloxone and conducted ourteach.

I gained teamwork, and directional skills from this experience, including how to effectively interact with others from all backgrounds. I also became more confident in my ability to communicate with healthcare professionals.I learned the value of community involvement from this experience, which also strengthened my knowledge of how simple actions of generosity can have a significant impact.
