Shadowing Experience

I was provided with the chance to meet with employees from several departments at Step-Up in Indianapolis during my shadowing experience and learn about the resources that they offer to the community. I had the opportunity to listen in on meetings,  see their daily activities on how each team member supports clients through community outreach and case management.

I gained considerable insight into the everyday tasks of public health experts employed by a nonprofit that serves the community as a result of this experience. It made it possible for me to see how dedication and communication are necessary in helping people get the resources they require. My interest in community health was reignited by my shadowing experience at Step-Up, which also improved my comprehension of the influence public health organizations have on disadvantaged populations.
